Receive the converted database and
restore it
There are two
different sets of instructions - one for databases returned by email the other
for return via post.
Database returned by email
The following
instructions assume your email program is available on the computer which you
wish to restore the database to. If not you will need to copy the WinZip file to
the correct computer.

Double left click on
the file attachment INRstar3 database.zip from within your email program or
from the location you copied it to.

Select the Open
it radio button from the window that opens and click OK (disregard
this if you have copied the file to another computer from your email program).

When the WinZip
window opens click the Extract button.

In the Extract
to: box enter C: and click on Extract.

Enter the password
shown above and click OK.

Close WinZip.
-
Start INRstar3 and
login as Supervisor.

Select Database
| Restore.
-
Select your C:
drive from the dropdown list on the left then click OK.

Your Version 2.24
database will now be restored in Version 3 format.
You should then
check that the files are correct.
Database returned by post
Take the floppy or
floppies to the computer from which you wish to restore the database.

Select Start
| Run…, type a:\inrstar3 database in the Open box and click OK.

Click the Unzip
button and then enter the above password when prompted.

Click OK when
the file has been converted.

Close the WinZip
Self-Extractor window.

Start INRstar3 and
login as Supervisor.

Select Database
| Restore.
-
Select your C:
drive from the dropdown list on the left then click OK.

Your Version 2.24
database will now be restored in Version 3 format.
You should then check
that the files are correct.
