Introduction to Point Prevalence feedback

INRstar contains an extensive set of audits and reports that allow a practice to monitor their performance of treatment. While these assist the practice internally it would be useful to practices if they knew how they are performing relative to other practices using INRstar. This area of our web site is designed to provide such a service and comes at no extra charge to those in their first year of use or who have purchased our continuing technical support and maintenance package.

Confidentiality

This feedback service will be confidential, your practice will be identified by a code that will be known only to you and us. We will not divulge the practice name that corresponds to any code nor reveal the results of an identifiable practice to any third party without the express permission of that practice.

How it works

Feedback is provided four times per year at the end of March, June, September and December. After initially requesting and registering for the service you run the Point Prevalence report that is already built into INRstar at the end of each period. You then visit this web site and complete the return form within the first ten days of the next month. As a reminder, we will email all practices who have registered for this feedback at the end of each quarter.

After the 10th of the month following the reporting period we will collate all the returns and create a chart similar to that shown in the INRstar section. The chart will be emailed to you by the 20th of that month.

Before running the Point Prevalence report you should check that the Count INR results as "in-range" when within box is set to 0.5 units of target INR. You can do this by selecting Options >> Other options from the drop down menu.

When you go to run the report click on the Selected dates radio button and select the last three month period from the two dropdown calendars. Make sure that the Include inactive patients tick-box is selected as this will include the results of any patients who have had their final treatment in the last three months and were then made inactive.
