Dosing a patient

The first action in dosing a patient is to call up the correct patient record out of perhaps hundreds of active patients,

Note that it is possible to exclude archived patient records by ticking the Active patients only box. Also only the search can be restricted to those patients who are due an INR test on a specific day.

Enter the first few letters of the patients surname or their patient number. A list of patients who meet the search criteria will then be displayed - just double left click on the patient name you wish to call up.

The treatment screen is divided up into several areas:

The diagnosis and dose area

A spreadsheet like layout of historical treatments

Buttons to allow access to other functions (note those that have no function until an action is performed are greyed out).

Move your mouse cursor around the screen shot below until the pointer changes to a pointing finger and click to move to another part of the tour.

Note that the treatment end date has passed for this demonstration patient and the End date in the diagnosis and dose area is highlighted in red and a warning message is displayed in the alerts box and the bottom of the screen.
